I was, though, a bit surprised at how much was cancelled in Japan yesterday compared to what has happened for prior (and seemingly worse) typhoons.
Especially since it's o-bon week and everything was already booked solid. We have friends visiting from the US who were supposed to fly back to HND from OKA yesterday; they were told they couldn't be re-accommodated for a week.
