If your data is out with date of birth and name and prior address somewhere, assume a motivated attacker can use one or more data brokers to find your current address. It's a dystopian privacy nightmare.
That wasn't my point, but I may not have been clear. What I was trying to say is that if people use the link and search with just their current state and find no match, that might give them a false sense of security. Search with all states that you ever lived in.
