I disagree, unless you’re speaking specifically about ORD. I have most times been able to just walk right in. Having to wait happens, though. It being accompanied by sloppy/poor/rude service feels worse to me.
Just walking in is one thing. Once there it takes a while to order and then takes a while for food to come. I've had that experience even when trying to order as I sat down.
ne time I specifically said that I only had 30min before I had to leave. The food finally came at the 27min mark. It's as if the servers have no idea that they are at an airport and that people have airplanes to catch. I've had this at multiple PL locations.
