Yes, MPC will save significant time if you're all able to use it, since you will basically use the Global Entry line.
BOS has improved it's MPC procedure. When I used it in March, they said they would get to the MPC line once all the GEs had cleared. As there was a constant stream of GEs from multiple flights, I said "I would have been better off in the regular line" and they waved me up. When I used it 2 weeks ago, there was one agent who prioritizes MPC so I got through very quickly.
