Were you SEN when you got the SN amex? That might explain the waived fee.
Yes, I was SEN back then, and had both the DE M&M card and the AMEX one. However I lost my SEN status for more than 6-7 years ago, and there's where I cancelled my DE M&M card. Recently, I did apply for the M&M card that is still on offered (but yes ending early next year) but I did not get any response yet. As I am NL based, it's always a challenge to get one of the M&M cards.
I will see what alternatives SN comes out with - and if I can still apply for it as I have bank accounts in both BE & DE.
