After around 20-30 minutes of heavy rain there has only been some intermittent showers. Just before midday we went out and had a lovely walk. Grey and overcast, yes, but comparatively cool and fresh.

Got back, made lunch, just about to go out again. Instead of sheltering in place, we’re having an enjoyable respite from the summer heat. Will be making gazpacho tonight for tomorrow and have a watermelon ready to cut into tomorrow, which is supposed to be sweltering.

And the local Summit had filled up one of those bottom shelves with about 30 x 5kg packs of rice.

16:50 update

Took too long over coffees and desserts (I brought my Aeropress and have been having fun with the local grinds) and it is now raining moderately. The rest of the family have started the holiday scrapbook.
