I have found it is always better to use the welcome drinks voucher ( s ) on a seperate transaction and take the drinks into the resturant - at any Accor Hotel to stop this sort of sillyness. That way they can not add anything extra to the bill.

Was it a shared terrace or private ? I would hate people just wondering along and looking into my room from the outside. It would spoil the reason for the terrace as I would have to keep the curtains closed overnight.
