example:

outbound, the stop at XXX is 900-930; returning, it’s 1245-115 … a nominal one-day rental car for a one-night trip would mean choosing between: (a) delaying pickup until ~noon, (b) returning it to the airport ~3 hrs before departure rather than ~an hour, or (c) paying for the additional hour or two
