I have just booked an FHR rate. (Several rates are discounted 25% into 2025). I am a Hilton Diamond and have $200 credits on Aspire credit cards. Even though I have prepaid my room, I believe that I have to use my plat AMEX to check in. I get a $100 food credit on an FHR booking. If I have both lunch and dinner at the hotel, is there a way to use the $200 credit from my Aspire credit card? Can I use it to pay the restaurant bill directly? Or will that not show up as a resort bill? Or can I get the hotel to allow me to put $200 on that credit card or will they require that the entire charge go on the AMEX Plat card?
You can still use the Aspire for incidental charges even though room rate is prepaid with AmEx Platinum. Provide the Aspire at check in, and charge all food/beverage/spa expenses to the room. At check out, hotel will deduct $100 FHR credit from F&B balance, and then settle the remainder against Aspire. Assuming you owe at least $200, AmEx will issue the resort credit to Aspire account.
