Am I better off having those miles credited to my Alaska account, or my British Account?
A few factors to consider here:
1. Is your planned, cash travel likely to earn you status in
some oneworld program?
2. Are your anticipated redemption flights on AS likely to cost less with AS miles than with, say, QR or AY Avios? (AY has new redemption charts for its oneworld partners; the AS redemption rate supposedly includes connecting flights at no extra charge.)
3. AS has multiple redemption-pricing buckets. Only the low buckets are available for partner redemption. How flexible will your AS redemption-travel dates be?
