Not worth going back in Terminal E security unless there is nobody there in line at all. Usually, E security is long and slow, and then you have to wait for up to 30 min for the airside shuttle to get over to A, and the shuttle takes a while since you'll basically get a tour of the entire airport on the way.

I would recommend just exiting the terminal ground level and taking the airport shuttle from E->A as that is a close/next stop. There is a walking path as well as VFR mentioned but if you have 8 people they may not all want to walk.

You should have enough time, but immigration could take over an hour if there is a long line.
