Yes that one - Mountain Valley Lodge. My back then 7 years old loved it and it was his favourite Marriott hotel - he mentioned it many times. I asked him why and he said he liked the activities, the hot chocolate, the movie, grilled cheese and trick or treat (that one we did it in town and we are not American so for them it was something really special).

They were ALL fine there except me! The hotel did have humidifyer in the suites to help guests to get used to the altitude. It didn't hit you at first (so if you go up and down in a day you won't feel a thing), and it kicks in on day 2 or 3. If you have ibuprofen bring some as it should ease your headache. I had that when I had my monthly problem and that made the whole thing 10x worse.

Grand Canyon is about 7000 on the South Rim, the north is about 9000, Bryce is 10000. Big Bear is like 7500-8500.
