but the Radisson program is so broken and worthless by now.... Elite recognition almost 0 besides the free breakfast and occasional welcome letter in the room. And so far my upgrade success is kind of 0. With over 50 night this year. Seems a lot of properties just keep going with the franchise but do not honor the program. Especially in Germany a lot RBs are now operated by "Event Hotel Group" and seem they do not care about status a bit. They are RBs in name only.
Sad to see this program collapse.

Who does nowadays? Marriott? When I check in with Marriott - very few mention my status and the only thing they mention was "would you like an item from the market or points" because if they don't I can invoke the PAG guarantee. I got zero upgrade even in a hotel with super low occupancy.
A free breakfast is a free breafast which has some value in itself and if you really want the "thank you for being a xxx member" you need to book with IHG - that's what I hear almost every time I stay with them.
CY Bremen has turned into a dump - we have been staying there since they opened and zero renovation and the owner just let things break and not fixing them.
