Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Futian Master Thread

Detailed review of my stay in August 2024

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Yes. Very pleasant hotel

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked cheapest rate and received 1 King Premium Club Floor City View

How are the rooms?

Around 43sqm. Corner room
More a Junior suite.

Very comfortable bed
Power/usb sockets next to the bed
2 armchairs.
Desk.

Kettle. Empty Minibar
Television with good selection of international channels
No Chromecast
No free PressReader

Very efficient air conditioning.

Bathroom with bathtub and separate walk-in shower.
Borghese toiletries
Bathrobes

Great panoramic view over the city
Very quiet.

How is the exec. lounge?

The club lounge is located on top floor with panoramic view.
Very attentive staff.

Dining and seating areas. Meeting room.

Very good afternoon tea and evening spread.
Breakfast is served at main restaurant only.

What was good and what was bad?

GOOD
  • Very pleasant hotel (the location is very central, with easy access to Shenzhen Museum, Concert Hall, Library, Museum of Contemporary Art, Guan Shan Yue Mei Shu Guan, Civic Center and Coco Park Mall)
  • Smiling and very attentive staff.
  • Very good breakfast
  • Pleasant top floor lounge with good afternoon tea and evening selection.
  • Great fitness centre and large outdoor pool

BAD
  • Nothing.

Value for $ or IHG One Rewards Points? Would you return?

Yes. The hotel is pleasant.

Still, it is a pity that Shenzhen has no InterContinental downtown.

Please note that, like many hotels and places in China, the address on Google Maps is incorrect (you actually have to type in Marco Polo hotel - the hotel's former name - to get the exact address).
