I'm flying D1 next week from JFK-LHR. I have celiac disease and always order a GF specialty meal. Has anyone had any luck with the D1 GF meal? I can only find pictures of some meatball dish and not much else.
It's obviously fine regardless, but it's unfortunate to pay the premium and receive an economy level meal service.
I used to order it for for quite a few years, but haven't recently. Usually, as you pointed out, it's the meatball dish with three meatballs, tomato sauce, roasted eggplant, and polenta. Honestly it was quite good, and it will come with a wrapped roll. But it varies, and you may get a southwestern chicken dish too, and I have seen fish before.
