The restaurant and bar are in operation, where as the food station only offers cold items and drinks at the moment. Hot food is available from the bar I was told.
Construction still going on in the lobby but no noise audible on floor 9.
One elevator out of action entire time.
Staff were more friendly than in the past.
I stayed multiple times in late winter and early spring of this year and there was an elevator (the same one each stay) that wasn’t working for at least a month. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if it was the same one you saw inoperable and they just gave up. In general I like the hotel, and the breakfast is way above average for a US property, but if asked for a single description based on stays since it opened “cost cutting” would be the first thing to come to mind.
