Can you use a Hilton Gift card to buy points when they go on sale for 1/2 cent per point? I have the Hilton Surpass card and use the $50 quarterly credit to buy gift cards if not traveling. I have heard the gift cards can cause some problems when used outside of the US and most of my Hilton travel is abroad and figured this was a good way to liquidate the cards for decent value
