Are the welcome amenities listed as a benefit anywhere or just a nice gesture some hotels include? To me it seems very random when I get them, and when I don’t. I don’t usually find them very valuable as they are usually items I could otherwise get in the executive lounge, I’m just curious.
Random for the most part, and dependent on numerous things determined by the property, including repeat guest, status level, lifetime status, room/suite type, number of points in account (no, that's not supposed to be a metric, but it's surprising how often a high balance results in perks/amenities), etc.
