There is so much variation in seats / hard product depending on which specific aircraft you are on, so it's hard to just give a blanket answer here. You'll find everyone has their own opinions, but my personal feeling is as follows:
BA78X (or any AC with new BA suites) > AA789 > AA77W > AA772 > AA788 > BA380
My experience with soft product (service and food) has generally been less disappointing on BA as compared to AA. If I had the full range of options, I'd pick a BA flight with the new club suites.
I see your question is specific to LHR-DFW, and since BA flies the 380 on that route
I would personally fly AA on one of the 77W flights.
