Flew LHR-LIN on a DAT A321 a couple of weeks ago. It was a C gate which I thought would mean a bus, but it was one of the long jet bridges at the end. A Lithuanian crew, who were fine.
Flying home on BA metal from Perugia was a different story. We were moved nine rows back from exit row 12 (me) and 13 (wife and daughter). I negotiated keeping the exit row, while separated from my family. Too much hassle to suggest a swap with whoever got my family’s original seats in row 13.
Also, the airport employee manning the security line was adamant that BA stipulated only 70 cabin bags and we were directed to check in our bags, not having made the cut. That took a bit of sorting out.
