PS Not sure about the latter since all of IAG’s airlines operate short haul in the Northern hemisphere. Now if IAG were to acquire an airline in the Southern hemisphere… they could swap them North-South and back to increase capacity in the summer months.
It's the end of the summer peak and UK summer holidays, so I suspect they're just scaling back.
