Given this was an involuntary change, SQ would have been able to, and should have, facilitated a change to SFO > SIN at no additional cost, whether it be points or cash.

I didn't have the luxury of "what ifs" in this case. The flight was one of many over the course of a longer trip that was planned so there was essentially no wiggle room for adjustment to schedule. They might have come through and offered something better to me had I waited, or they could have offered nothing and I missed out on the only currently open flight available to me on that day, and been far worse off for it. I will keep an eye on this thread and if others seem to have better luck I will reengage with them. Given my tight schedule though I am glad that I have piece of mind and a solution that isn't going to impact the rest of the trip.
