1- Get my points back
2- Move me to a flight prior to the cancellation of the route
3- Change to a different departure city (LAX, SFO, EWR, JFK) and pay the point difference + change fee

I am not sure if this applies to everyone but my award ticket was a business SAVER and since none of the other routes had saver fares the only option was advantage. Because of this, they wouldn't simply "swap" the flight. I needed to give another 36,000 miles to change my IAH>SIN saver award to a SFO>SIN advantage award. Part of me feels this was a little unfair since they are the ones cancelling the route. To add insult to injury they also tried to charge me $50 in change fees for switching flights. Once I pointed out that they were the ones cancelling the original itinerary they agreed to wave the fees. One other fun problem is that there needs to be availability for the flight you want to take, which depending on your dates may be difficult.

In summary:
IAH>SIN is cancelled as of 4/1/25
They moved my booking over to another city and made me pay the point difference
I would have requested an escalation or waited for SQ themselves to take action on your ticket before reaching out to SQ.
Given this was an involuntary change, SQ would have been able to, and should have, facilitated a change to SFO > SIN at no additional cost, whether it be points or cash.
