I don't see why not. You mean from SYD? AA or AS points on Qantas or UA / other *A points on Air New Zealand. A quick check I see lots of days with 15k point redemptions SYD-AKL in coach.

Separately SFO/LAX-AKL business class is actually one of the easier redemptions with UA miles. I see lots of inventory every time I look.
