Thanks for the help. Another complexity: fares are cheaper on BA.com vs AA.com. My trip booked on BA.com would be on AA metal to LHR and BA metal to BOS. The website indicates AA rules apply on BOS-LHR. Does that mean I can reserve seats to LHR when booking vs 7 days prior to departure? If so, it would also mean I can check luggage to LHR.
