I mean I'm not saying you should just tolerate cockroaches everywhere and infestations of bugs, but in fairness, when you go to places where certain things are endemic you have to tolerate a certain level. I expect mosquitoes in tropical areas, DESPITE most places extremely concerted efforts to suppress them, I know in certain desert areas you can run into certain crawlies regardless, etc. Cockroaches in Las Vegas are plentiful and preventing them from appearing in areas (especially outdoor) where water and food and beverage are present is almost impossible. The relevant thing is the question of, is it an infestation that is clearly uncontrolled, or is it a few that are unavoidable?
