Most award travel is best booked either a year out or two weeks out. That generally holds true across all programs or destinations, with exceptions. So if you can't find anything now it's already booked but MAY become available again 2 weeks or so before departure. You can always book something "sub-optimal" now and then change it closer in if you find something more appealing?
