This is most annoying. i have a Lufthansa issued award ticket for a TK flight. I got the TK PNR from an agent, but still can't open my reservation at all on website or app. Get a snotty message on the lines of
Go talk to the people you bought the ticket from.
Called back, and the agent could make seat reservations, suggested replacing the LH-M&M number with my TK-M&S number so that i could open the booking. Still no joy - i can't even SEE the reservation. Not sure I'll be able to check in online.
Over to the same situation on Ethiopian (ET flight on Lufthansa issued ticket), the ET PNR works like a dream: i can open reservation and play around with it.
I get that TK prefers to make direct sales, and probably feels pissed off when we acquire tickets from other sources. But refusing to give direct access to bookings must be having unintended consequences for the carrier, with agents tied up dealing with matters better handled online. And creating a royal pain in the proverbial for your frequent flyers is rarely a good move,
