I've been hemming and hawing a dozen times on what property to pick for my next stop in BKK. Usually this has been a fairly straightforward matter but this time I’m bringing kids that have grown from docile toddlers to rampaging tweens.
I don’t want to be THAT guy who puts up his kids at a luxury hotel, lets them run amok on hotel grounds and spoiling the peace for others. At the same time I don’t expect to restrain their spark too much.
So for this reason I’ve considered just picking something like the Shangri-La or Anantara Riverside which has a strong family profile and where they will blend in much better. Is there any of the hotels usually suggested in here where you could see this situation working out anyhow?

I agree with
Aventine - book what you want. There have been kids at the Siam each time I was there, and they were playing around at the pool too.
As long as they're not running around screaming in the public spaces, who cares?
