Thanks for that ! My comments on code-use success were a careless extrapolation of my experience some time back.

It’s great that QR can present the code-generated cost saving to those fortunate enough to receive one, though of course this is positive reinforcement benefit to QR in marketing terms.



But It would be nicer still if they told those less fortunate they are out of luck, explaining why, rather than allowing them to continue with their payment in the belief they’re benefitting from a discount.



I’m not even touching on those doubly unfortunate to suffer a code-induced fare increase. Hopefully the system that generated a clear picture of your good fortune, could generate a similar picture showing a price hike, though the posts above suggest this does not happen. Well, that's a surprise ....
