Good CK experience this evening under circumstances that shouldn’t have happened. CK desk proactively reached out this afternoon about a maintenance delay before the AA app and the other tracking apps went off. All flights for the evening were zero’d out, but they booked me on a backup in Y via what I’d assume to be an oversell situation (EF alert for J got me back into J via a quick call).
Good thing I set up the alert as I misconnected in PHL due to the maintenance and lack of ground staff. An agent in PHL called me and met me at the gate with a boarding pass as the app didn’t originally want to give me the BP due to not being removed off my original flight. Icing on the cake — got hit with a second delay (60 minutes) due to no catering or baggage handlers.
