Amazingly, I just found a November DEN-DFW-LHR First award ticket for 72K. Other dates were as low at 60K.
i think we were about 220K per person for the round trip in F, including the connecting flight to LAX (one of which conveniently got upgauged from a 321 to a 772)…and we had a total of 3 people, so finding that kind of availability (which is now a thing of the past) made it a no brainer for us. Plus Australia was awesome, and flying domestic Qantas was like traveling back in time, in a good way, to pre 9/11 US flying, plus free wifi
