Oh yes, they are still there and working (pic from 2022 but I saw these a couple of weeks ago).

There is even a documentary on German TV called "Mittendrin - Frankfurt Flughafen" about different operations at Frankfurt Airport and one episode showed the maintenance of the display board. Which is interesting because the system is relatively old and the work on it has to be done by very specialised employees.

This display board is also one of my oldest memories of Frankfurt Airport, and it gives me an illogical pleasure every time I travel through FRA.
Good to know! It's funny how little things like flight information boards can have such a big impact on us and conjure up all sorts of nice memories. Well I guess this is normal for aviation enthusiasts

Thank you all for your comments. I live in Austin, but I agree, it's a lovely city with a nice amount of greenery.
