I flew B6 for the first time recently and I, too, was amazed watching the B6 FAs worth their way up and down the aisles helping passengers stow their luggage. But while it was nice to see, I agree with those who do not expect AA FAs to help out. Most will be happy to help you check your bag (which a good number of "carry ons" should be in any event), but I do not view it as their job to help passengers find a place to stow all of their worldly possessions crammed into a "carry on" bag.
