We stayed in one of the heritage suites back in May, and was also surprised it did not have air conditioning based on the room information. The room was warm - it was during a surprisingly hot weekend for that time of year - but the windows did open which helped. We were on the 1st floor so close to the road, although due to traffic restrictions it is not too busy. We were only there for one night, otherwise would have been a problem.

I would not stay in one of these rooms again because of this, which is a shame as it was a genuinely nice suite in a decent hotel. Overall it feels like if this hotel was in a different city that could take higher room rates, it would have been a full service brand like Autograph Collection
to make the most of the historic part of the building.
