Booked a one-way PE ticket for a date in mid-December and when the initial email came through, I just took the refund. It was disappointing because £750-odd for a PE ticket was a pretty good deal to be honest. Being naive about consumer rights, I didn't realise VS were perhaps being a bit unscrupulous until I read their recent follow-up email mentioned by
Nottingham Nick . So, I phoned them to request an airline transfer. The call agent managed (eventually...) to reverse the refund, put me on a BA flight, same class and same date. So I've received a confirmation email from VS, still awaiting the actual ticket to come through from BA.
Not been a good few weeks for Virgin Atlantic...
