I have not explored all the options, but the non-stop on HI from HNL leaves too early in the day for me - I cant leave until the evening. While yes - I agree with the idea, but from a technical standpoint the redeye OGG-SFO actually kinda is better for me even though the flight time is MUCH longer.... there is also the issue of an IRROPS - HA only flies once a week but UA is every day...... and I am a nobody on HA vs a nobody with status on UA
