I have booked on Edelweiss flight (Eco) under LX8xxx flight number. This was the first time the system ask me to pay for the seat as HON. Calling the LX CCC, they now have to send an e-mail to Edelweiss so I can get seats assigned without paying for it. Did anyone else experience the same? I always believed that booking under LX numbers gets you not to pay for seating as HON/SEN.
I found the answer myself in the meantime - so for all: As a Senator or HON Circle Member, you can reserve a seat free of charge on flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City and SWISS in all booking classes (except for Economy Light on short-haul flights).
Edelweiss is NOT on the list while Discover is.
