Was asked to move from 1B to 4E to accommodate an elderly couple (man was in 1A, woman was in 4E). I obliged but then got to 4E and the lady in 4F wanted to move to 4E because she apparently had earlier accommodated the elderly woman’s request to move to 4E (perhaps to make it easier to move if I agreed to the 1B request), but I balked at taking a window so 4F agreed—unhappily—to stay where she was and then grumbled a bit to me about the elderly couple’s request.

Anyway, on to the service …

Ful PDB offered despite starting to take orders only shortly before boarding ended (my drink order was actually taken after boarding door closed). Nice when a crew makes the effort.

After takeoff, drink of choice, followed by hot towel then choice of main (mushroom leak frittata or cold salmon plate). I had preordered the frittata but that was not acknowledged (perhaps due to seat switch) but they still had enough frittatas for both me and 4F so it didn’t matter in the end.

Frittata was fine. Sweet potatoes aren’t my thing (except in pie ) but I had a couple of bites. Would have preferred a true bread to the sweet shortbread pieces but overall a decent meal (fruit was fresh) and crew was attentive and proactive.
