Hello Goldorak. Cambodian Angkor Air said that they dont have an interline baggage agreement with Emirates. Maybe there is a difference between interline agreement and interline baggage agreement. Anyways, I was told I had to pick up my bags in Ho Chi Minh. You are right about the visa for Vietnam and that is the question. Neither Emirates of Cambodian Angkor has been able to definitively tell me whether I have to leave the transit area to pick up bags. I assume I do. I have emailed the airport in Ho Chi Minh but have received no reply. I rang Emirates today and the sales agent said I should have been aware when I booked the flight that it was a different airline and different rules. Usually, one ticket, one reservation means that bags are looked after all the way through. I have never flown in Asia though and wonder if this is the norm. Thanks for replying. I am hoping someone who has recently flown this exact route will reply too.
Sorry Goldorak. I just saw your second post. They have to be wrong then. You are a star. I have been looking online for interline information. Thanks so much.
