Interesting - I looked at the airfrance.ie site to see and this appeared. It seems that they are introducing a "Standard Plus" fare for €18 more than the "Standard" fare including an economy Comfort seat for short haul. It doesn't show when I'm logged into klm.nl, where I get the normal 3 options... Note the Flex option is €167 for reference.
I have seen the standard plus fare appear on searches with the German websites too, but only on limited routes.
