In November Base rooms were 21k a night if you booked before Category changes so jumping to 43k a night is insane, especially with only a 1 year old I think you'll be perfect with or without an upgrade. November is a slower season so upgrades are more common than other seasons too so you might get lucky.



I've seen multiple comments where they did go above a standard suite upgrade for some to the Bay View Suite or the Large Andaz Suite so it does happen, but it would be uncommon I agree. But since OP booked before the Category change upgrading to a Suite they'd be paying more than double their current rate. OP said it's 43k per night for the suite, given that info it means their original booking is only 21k per night. I just don't see it as worth it to pay more than double. especially in low season. Having a 1 year old you don't need really any additional space, and there is definitely the possibility of a suite or other upgrade with GOH.



Depends when you stay, I gifted a GOH earlier this year and they were upgraded to a Bay View Suite, so it does happen. I think it'll be more common now that it's a Cat 7 it won't be as busy compared to when it was a Cat 5 or 6 the last 2 years.
