I personally do not know any Chilangos in Condesa but anecdotally can say from my time spent in the neighborhood there is a majority of foreigners and from what I understand in speaking with friends, yuppies. I do not think either demographic plays a large role in the airport location but do agree that the latest options are not appealing on any level.

Ha, well believe it or not, if you get outside of the area adjacent to parque Mexico, there’s actually still a decent amount of proper chilango families in Condesa (granted they would be considered upper middle class to upper class professionals, so perhaps the yuppie moniker might be apt), but the location AICM is still more convenient for the vast majority of city residents and perhaps only people in far east of the city or in Estado de Mexico would prefer the location of Texcoco. But I don’t think *anyone* would prefer AIFA’s location to AICM!
