In all cases the inbound flight from the Far East (Taipei, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul) was on time or early.

What this suggests to me is that TK doesn’t have a 77W ready on the ground in IST to operate the flight on-time at the scheduled time of 01:35. They are having to wait for the inbound flights from the Far East to start arriving (of course due to the long time on the ground in Beijing the return flights are able to operate on time).

Clearly this doesn’t have much to do with 30 minutes Eurocontrol delays. If that were the case the Beijing flights would be 30 minutes late, not 5hrs late.
Exactly...For TK 72, there were two more severe delays last week when they waited for the planes from Taipei and Shanghai to land at around 5am before they have a plane to operate the flight
