This is how it has posted - it was a flight, hotel and car hire booking, hotel for 3 nights, car for 9 nights.
EDIT: on the original booking email it also says I will earn “4812 bonus Avios (awarded after travel)”. Definitely booked as a BAH.
On the original booking email does it breakdown the hotel cost and the airfare cost separately? This can happen if you search and select flights first and then add a hotel/ car hire via the options as you move through the booking pages.
Distanced based Avios only apply on BAH bookings ‘where the fare paid isn’t available’. If it’s broken down on the booking email then it is available and so revenue based earnings will apply. You will still get the BAH Bonus Avios in those circumstances as it’s still a BAH booking.
