I haven't had the opportunity to try myself so I won't doubt that, however I've found that it is their overall surrounding apparatus that is lacking. What good is a fine seat if your plane is delayed, the boarding is cattle chaos and they have no interline partners of note.

These are of course anecdotal experiences but it's been frequent enough that I would personally avoid scheduling separate PNRs on the same day (especially across different airfields and alliances) unless I was very confident in the kind of support the OP is asking for.
