I tried the same a while back- looks like they only do hourly service (with a 2 hour minimum) in San Francisco. Given the limo companies Amex works with, I imagine this would potentially be useful only in NYC.

I'm not even sure there exists a large reliable limo company in San Francisco. If there is, I haven't found it.
