Yep, it’s known as curtain roulette on here.
As a general rule it’s always a risk if you book any short haul economy seat from the exit rows forward.
(Although there’s a separate issue at the moment with people being bumped from their booked seats at random for no apparent reason, which you may have fallen victim to last month.)
