KARFA gave you a reasonable explanation and welcome to European flights where Club/Business or as you call it your end “FIRST” is a flexible Cabin and may be extended hence why BA block the first three rows, typically.
If this is a major problem, hopefully you find a better solution rebooking with another airline if your choice. Good luck
I am well aware of what dynamic business class is in the EU. Aerolopa shows a thin line after row 12 - the max business class goes back.
Karfa noted BA may hold 12 and forward for Business for a while. Not worth the wait nor is dealing with the charlie fox that LHR is, so AA DEN-PHL-LIS it is.
The only reason I consider BA is they do award upgrades on TATL while AA does not.
