KARFA gave you a reasonable explanation and welcome to European flights where Club/Business or as you call it your end “FIRST” is a flexible Cabin and may be extended hence why BA block the first three rows, typically.

If this is a major problem, hopefully you find a better solution rebooking with another airline if your choice. Good luck
